Thursday 13!! New Page New Start!

With the new year barreling towards us all I have been thinking about my craft room and all the wonderful things that I will be able to do once it is organized. I have been thinking about all the posts to put on the website and do not lack inspiration as I am still in absolute LOVE with the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog and now with Sale-A-Bration beginning just around the corner I see nothing but inspiration! That said...I have done nothing. Not a darn thing!

Procrastination is pretty much my excuse!

What better way to start a page, than to have a Thursday 13 list? Well I am sure there are a lot of fantastic ways to start, but this is mine!

13 Things I should be doing, but am not doing currently....

#1 Organizing the disaster I call a craft room. It was on the upswing. It really was and then the whole craft bazaar season got the better of me and not having a table meant I had to take everything off of my folding table...and then I was in a hurry...every time I went in there, and did not put anything back where it was supposed to go. So have to be on your tippy toes and do an elegant ballet through the rubble of desperation. *hands over ballet slippers*

#2 I should be getting card making classes put together and planned out. Videos are happening people...soon-ish.

#3 I need to take my Stampin' Up catalogs to Office Depot and get them spiral bound.

#4 So many things to take down to donate and they are all keeping one another company and not being donated.

#5 I need to take inventory of the freezers so I can plan out the menu for January for me to ignore most of what I have planned.

#6 Get back to prepping veggies and snacks for the day while I am crafting. I have found that if I have cut veggies ready to plate that I will more than likely snack on those while I am crafting. Instead of my favorites...chips...chips...more chips and we are not talking kale chips. Then there is anything other than healthy options too that I will cave and devour. So having things ready for the week is good. Now...I do dip them in ranch I am not a beast! Mmm chips and ranch....NO!!! Don't do it....

#7 Knitting. After the holiday bazaar season I am down to one scarf that is done. I am not sad about it being homeless as I love it and am thinking about keeping it. The scarf was inspired by the Hallmark movie "A Princess For Christmas." In it the main character has a scarf that goes down to nearly her ankles when not wrapped and it is a multi colored gorgeous scarf. My inspired piece is no where near similar in appearance but it was inspiring and I love the outcome. Who knows...perhaps I will put it on Etsy....maybe...this perhaps might be another moment to procrastinate.

And speaking of at...

#8 I need to be updating my Etsy shop and bringing it back online. I removed everything and paused the shop on there because this year seemed to be far too chaotic for me to worry about the shop as well. My shop had stalled. I had the same five cards I started with and so it is time for a face lift and new products. I am excited for the new and I hope improved layout with hand made gifts and cards, but all of that takes time to create. I have spent a significant amount of time researching how to make a great Etsy shop and now I need to apply the new found knowledge.

#9 I need to start going around the house collecting the Christmas decor that is less about winter and just about the holidays. Don't get me wrong...the winter theme will be playing out still, just not Christmas. I might leave the tree up...undecided...hmmm....thoughts?

#10 I need to be hanging things on the walls. I have design ideas in my head but they have yet to be realized. I feel as though the decor we had at the old house was pretty perfect and now...I am having an issue making it work on the new walls. Has that ever happened to you?

#11 I could be sitting here with a Hallmark movie on while making a bunch of paper rosettes for the next holiday bazaar season, but nope....not doing it.

#12 I should have for awhile now been paying attention to this page. Getting posts up and links to the catalogs, and lists of the products that I simply feel as though I can't live without! But again...I blame the uninspired disaster craft room for my lack of crafting desire.

#13 Unpacking the last two boxes that are in my bedroom. We moved in June...and I forget they need to be unpacked until the middle of the night when I need to use the restroom and I bump into them. Just 2 boxes..and one of them are books...Out of sight out of mind...and though they are on my mind at this moment....nah I will do it later.

I hope that you have enjoyed this Thursday 13 list of mine! My goal is to next week have a list of things I have done. Or a list of things in my craftroom that I was able to find after organizing. It's a new week and we'll see.
